pick your own, sunday 21st

Hi all,

Well mid-summer is almost upon us and so we have organised a trip for Sunday. We will be walking from the students union to a pick you own place a little outside of Cardiff. We will be walking along the Taff trail and up to Morganstown. The walk will be about 6ish miles, never fear we will be walking at a reasonable pace and we are intending it to be a nice leisurely walk (rather than an excruciating hike) and we will be stopping for a picnic somewhere along the way. The pick your own place will have strawberries, blueberries and possibly some other fruits in season, as well as this they have their own honey, wine and preserves. Once laden with our fruit we will be taking the train back from Radyr station.

We will meet at the Blackwell's side of the union at 11am on Sunday, please bring your own lunch, some money as you will have to pay to pick and for the train home. Please also wear sensible shoes, I would strongly advise walking boots, bring plenty of water, sun screen and incase it rains (Gods forbid) it would be advisable to bring water proofs.
