She Dances

By Sarah Fisher

She dances alone.
Not for her the gentle clutch
Of muscled arms of stone.
She dances for none.
Unwaking, dreamlike - secret she turns
But not for anyone.
She dances LOVE
And for herself, complete within herself
The Goddess comes!
She and she are lovers in the whirl
Of motion and material unfurled
Just as the world was made
With love and grace
And laughter.
The big bang of the drum
The heartbeat at the centre of the all
Divine conception
Goddess.
Dancer.
Centre.
She dances free!
