UKPagan Events Listing, 2006-7All talks will take place in the upstairs room of the Rummer Tavern, Duke Street, Cardiff from 7:30pm with the talk normally starting at around 8:30pm. The venue may be subject to change but we will notify members of any change as soon as possible. I am sure you will all agree this should be a very interesting talk. Sunday 1 October 2006 - Dream Drugs and Shamanic Sleeping by Marion WoolleyMarion is a member of UKPagan and although has not been to one of our moots yet kindly offered her services when she saw my request for talks. The talk looks like it could be very interesting but please note that neither Marion or UKP advocate the use of drugs in ritual or any other situation. Sunday 5 November 2006 – Wicca by Sarah FisherSarah has kindly agreed to give a talk on her experiences of Wicca and I am sure it will be a fascinating talk. December 2006 – Yule MealOnce again Yule approaches and instead of our usual talk we will be celebrating Yule in style. It has not yet been confirmed where the meal will be so if you have any suggestions please let me know and I will arrange the necessary. Keep an eye out for more information!! Sunday 7 January 2007 – The Divine Feminine in Christianity – Whores, Prophetesses and Warrioresses by Kim HuggensWhat can I say, just the title of the talk makes me want to know more! Kim is one of our regulars when it comes to giving talks and they are always that little bit special. What a way to start the New Year. Sunday 4 February 2007 – Paganism and the Law by Jonathan UnderhillJon is currently studying Law at Cardiff University and has agreed to give a talk on how the two interact. Sunday 4 March 2007 – Freemasonry by Robert FisherRobert has kindly agreed to share with us his knowledge of Freemasonry and the symbolism that is common with Paganism. Sunday 1 April 2007 – History of the Witch Hunts by Sam LearmouthSam is a keen historian who has had us hooked in the past with his talks. This month he plans to keep us riveted with the history of the witch hunts which I am sure is something we are all looking forward to. |
